Prices for Windows 7 OEM Versions
If the “normal” retail prices for Windows 7 sounds a bit steep for you, you may want to consider the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) versions of the operating system scheduled for an October 22 release. The summary of Tom’s Hardware thus states:

Newegg is selling Home Premium for $100, while the retail price is $200. Those looking for the Professional version can get an even greater break as the OEM is $135, compared to $300 for the retail.Still not good enough? Then you can hand over $175 for the Ultimate SKU, which would cost $320 in stores.
What’s the difference between OEM and retail? Again from Tom’s: “OEM versions of Windows do not come without fancy boxes, manuals, packaging, or even tech support, but they do come with a lower sticker price.” OEM versions are also less versatile, in the sense that they’re basically tied to one motherboard. This means that, if you buy a new computer, you have to buy a new copy; it’s not legally permitted to uninstall the Windows 7 you installed on your old computer, then reinstall it on the new one.
That’s because OEM versions are meant for computer manufacturers, who are expected to provide said the tech support for the customer. And since makers will pre-install Windows 7 into their products, why the fancy boxes and other paraphernalia, right? In exchange for the lower price, Microsoft legally ties OEM copies to only one computer, as detailed above.
So if you’re planning to upgrade to Windows 7, should you buy an OEM copy? If you’re a particularly savvy customer used to diagnosing problems on your own as they crop up, I don’t see why not. Even retail copies are tied to one computer in a certain sense, as you have to uninstall 7 from the old computer before you can use it on the new one, no?
ASUS Eee PC 1000HE.

Set-up for the 1000HE was incredibly easy. Had windows configured and my wireless network recognized in no-time. The keyboard is wonderfully easy to type on. The chiclet stle of thee keys allow more spacing and easy typing in long documents. The 1.3 mega pixel webcam works well with both picasa and messenger.

The 10 inch screen is very easy to see and its brightness is easily controlled using the function keys (as is volume control and wifi/bluetooth toggle on/off). The redesign of the keyboard is excellent, even the chiclet style keys. The keys make the keyboard feel much larger than it is and the placement of the right shift key is good also.
The ASUS Eee PC 1000HE comes with everything you want in a netbook in a relatively small form factor. The best features are the epic battery life and it’s relatively low price. You simply can’t get a more equipped notebook at this price. Don’t get the smaller, cheap, less equipped units. You will kick yourself for it.

Alienware Launches M15x laptop, Bills it Most Powerful 15-Incher
The first to make use of Intel’s recently launched mobile Core i7 chips (codenamed “Clarksfield”), the specs of the Alienware M15x indicate that the company’s marketing is right on target. No doubt maxing out the configuration will result in a $4000+ laptop. However, at the starting price of $1500, here’s what you get:

- 512MB NVIDIA GeForce GT 240M
- Intel Core i7 720QM 1.6GHz (2.8 GHz Turbo Mode, 6MB Cache)
- 15.6-inch WideHD+ 1600 x 900 – WLED
- Genuine Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit
- 3GB DDR3 – 1066MHz
- 250GB 5,400RPM
- Internal Wireless Bluetooth 2.1+ Enhanced Data Rate
- Slot-Loading Dual Layer DVD Burner (DVD+-RW, CD-RW)
- Ports:
- IEEE 1394a (4-pin) port
- Integrated Gigabit Ethernet RJ-45 (1000 Mbps)
- 3 Hi-speed USB 2.0 ports (1 via USB 2.0 / eSATA combo port)
- 1 eSATA (via USB 2.0 / eSATA Combo Port)
- VGA, DisplayPort – Video Output
- 8-in-1 Media Card Reader
- ExpressCard Slot
- 2 Audio Out Connectors
- Audio In / Microphone Jack (retaskable for 5.1 audio)
- Two Built-In Front Speakers
- Internal High-Definition 5.1 Surround Sound Audio
- Intel WiFi Link 5300 a/g/Draft-n 3×3 MIMO
- 6-cell battery
Impressive, though I think Alienware could’ve done better with the standard hard disk and battery. 250GB is definitely too small for enthusiasts nowadays, and 6-cell batteries are simply too weak to keep the action going away from the wall socket. Then again, this laptop isn’t exactly designed for typing out reflections at the neighborhood coffee shop, but then again, it’s nearly two inches thick when closed. Perhaps Alienware could’ve crammed more data and power capacity? In any case, the Alienware M15x is still a “portable” platform powerful enough to run practically any game or application on the market—most probably at a fast pace.
Latte Ice 8 GB Video MP3 Player

This Video MP3 Player has beautiful design and a good sound. As you can see, the design is very sleek and you will be very happy with the comfort of the ear buds. The ear buds that came with it are really nice. Yes… these are made well.
For the people who prefer to have a modern MP3 player, then this will be the perfect choice because it come with the “terminator style”. Yes, the chrome housing makes it look so “TOUGH” and it’s very unique.
How to use it?
It was really simple to use… same like the rest MP3 player that you can found. The best part about this gadget is it can play avi format. Means that you can convert your home video’s using the AVI Converter Program that came with the player. But in case you can’t convert it, don’t be panic because movies and t.v programs are protected.
Unlock iphone software

Do you have an iPhone?
Are you plan to get one for yourself?
Well if you do, then you must know some info about iPhone itself before you buy it like how to unlock it. What I’m trying to say is there’s many info about unlock iphone 3g 2.2 on internet for you to read.
As we know, iPhone is an Internet-enabled multimedia mobile phone that shakes the world. This gadget is a unique that was designed and marketed by the Apple Company. All I can say, iPhone is an innovative take on the cellular phone handset. If you want to compare the normal cellphone with the iPhone, well it’s too far because it incorporates a lot of really great features.
Even though some of you already know on how to unlock iphone 3g 2.2.1, but there’s few info that you should aware of. It’s a true that you need to put an SSH client onto it for easy navigation and operation, but you also need to upload several files and installers manually.
You also need to know that the iPhone do not yet support flash technology. And this may affect some of your download activities but trust me, with the latest Apple’s Software Development Kit, you will be satisfied to see various supported applications with the release by them.
Emblaze Mobile gets ready to scorch the smartphone market
A hitherto modest Israeli company called Emblaze Mobile has set out to challenge the smartphone majors such as HTC, RIM and Apple in (what else but) introducing smartphones that are rumored to have some key enhancements – welcome the Emblaze Edelweiss and Emblaze Monolith. Emblaze Mobile has apparently set its sights on leaving the competitor products gasping for breath with the launch of Edelweiss (October 2008) and Monolith (2009).
And gasp we sure did when we found out about the resolution that the Emblaze Edelweiss sports – a 3.5 inches touchscreen at 480×854 pixels, the highest currently available on smartphones. The other features, however, are not so extraordinary – GSM & 3G connectivity, built-in GPS system and 8/16GB memory. There are few details at this point other than the confirmation by Russian carrier MTS that it will shore up the device in Russia this month. The Emblaze Monolith will be based on Linux and is being put together by Sharp and the software group Access. The device will integrate GPS, telephony and messaging, web browsing, and a mobile media player, together with a touch sensitive display, a high-end camera and “virtually every wireless connectivity technology known to man.” Well, we are waiting; after all, we all love a good fight, don”t we?
