Samsung Wave

Samsung have recently released their all new touch screen smartphone mobile handset, the Samsung S8500. The phone was made available to the masses in June 1st 2010, and boasts some impressive features that should see it going head to head with the world leaders in smartphone technology. The S8500, affectionately known as the ‘Wave’, makes use of the latest Super AMOLDED displays, allowing users of the phone to enjoy crystal clear images on screen, and with the 3.3” screen, Internet browsing, sending emails, or video calling has never been so easy. The touchscreen also has 16M colour-capacity, and an 800 x 480 resolution, which essentially makes the Wave one of the markets frontrunners in terms of screen quality.

The dimensions of the S8500 are favourable also, weighing only 188g, and measuring 108.9 x 53.5 x 11.9. It’s rather impressive for such a small unit to house so many excellent features, but Samsung seemed to have accomplished this, and look an exciting manufacturer of smartphones for 2010.

One of the Wave’s specifications will please all new users of the phone, and that’s the battery life. Because today’s smartphones are packed with power sapping applications and high resolution display, it’s often the case that individuals have to charge their phones every day to keep a healthy charge for the following 24 hours, however, the S8500 has a talk time capacity of 180 minutes, and a standby battery life of up to 450 hours, which is impressive to say the least. This stat becomes even more admirable when considering some of the features that the Wave houses in its tiny shell. Firstly, it has a 1 GHz processor, which allows users to effortlessly browse through the phone, or even surf the web, with minimal fuss, and no lagging. Elsewhere, there’s a high quality 5 megapixel camera which, when matched with the Super AMOLED screen, provides an excellent way of snapping and viewing those special moments. Other such features include A-GPS, 2GB/8GB of internal storage (with room for a microSD card that will boost the memory to an extraordinary 32GB), and, of course, the phone makes use of Samsung’s brand new software platform Bada, which makes its first appearance in a smartphone now available at dialaphone, click here to see the latest offers..
