SUBASPHALT NET
The influence of the material on the layers of the asphalt pavement
increasing of durability of the pavement without reflexing cracking;
fatigue durability of the asphalt increases 6-10 times;
resistance in forming rut increases 203 times.
Technology of laying subasphalt net:
70% bitumen emulsion is put on the surface which was previously cleaned from dust with a computer controlled high-frequency autogyponator;
density of bituminising must be 1,1 kg/m2;
machine or manual laying of the net on bitumen emulsion without folds;
after drying of the emulsion - laying asphalt.
As the result of using the net, durability of the road pavement increased twice which resulted in significant decreasing of expenses.
There are several methods of increasing durability of asphalt pavement in the world:
laying rubber bitumen (SAMI) - and this is very expensive,
laying metal or plastic net.
Long tests of geotextile carried on by firms "Gradex" and "Geotextile" (Hungary) showed that the best results were achieved while using polyester.
On the territory of Russia there is a "Geostroi" company which cooperates with a JSC "Lendostroi". "Geostroi" deals with manufacturing and sales of polymer nets, grids and other materials having trade brand "Tenax" and produced by extrusion. The materials mentioned are used for increasing bearing capacity of soil. They limit the mobility of ballast, distribute loads and prevent formation of pot-holes.
Fields of application:
foundations of embankments built on soft soil;
strengthening of the ballast of railways;
roads without pavement;
strengthening of soil under foundations of buildings.
